Beekeeping Workshops
Beginner Workshop
Prerequisites: An interest in honeybees. Any new beekeepers, or anyone thinking of keeping bees, or just curious.
Subject Matter: Our aim aim is to equip the new beekeeper with the knowledge to successfully begin their rewarding new hobby. We go over many of the common mistakes made, ( there are many of them) so new beekeepers can get off on the right foot.
These lessons are hands on. We provide you with protective clothing, but if you have your own, please bring it.
Intermediate Workshop
Prerequisites: At least two years of beekeeping experience.
Subject Matter: We will be covering Hive Management, including different methods for increase, swarm control, and honey yield. We also take some time to talk about implementing a I.P.M system.
Queen Rearing
Prerequisites: At least two years beekeeping experience.
Subject Matter: Participants will learn the different methods of raising their own queens, including grafting larvae. This will be a hands on lesson, so bring your veils.

All Workshops take place at Dancing Bee Apiaries, located one hour east of Toronto. Workshops are in groups of 5 to 10 people. Please use the contact form below, and see you in the Spring!
The fee per person is $40, two people $55, four people $110, and so on.
